About

Ben Nicholas is a director/editor/writer (in that order) who thinks actors should embrace their bad teeth.

Ben was born in Miami, raised in Ithaca, and blames his jaywalking on a long stint in NYC where he attended Tisch School of the Arts (2004-2008).

He approaches filmmaking like a composer would a score, with a deep consideration for the film’s phrasing, rhythm and repetition. His practice demonstrates a a gordian, non-hierarchical entanglement of film’s formal elements designed to stress test the medium’s plasticity.

He sleeps deepest in movie theaters.
